Welcome to Deviwo –
Passing the Ewe torch, one word at a time.

Growing up in London, I was surrounded by the beautiful sounds of the Ewe language, a gift from my parents who hail from the lively Ewe-speaking regions. Despite being miles away from Ghana, Ewe remained my cherished connection to my roots.

Now, as a parent myself, I’ve encountered a new challenge. My daughter, raised in a different world from our ancestral lands, deserves to experience the richness of our linguistic heritage. But teaching her Ewe, which is not my first language, comes with its own set of challenges.

This challenge sparked an idea: What if I could create tools to make learning Ewe fun and effective for her and kids worldwide?

So, here I am, bringing that idea to life! I’m starting with animal-themed flashcards in Ewe, and I couldn’t be more excited. But this isn’t just about me and my daughter – it’s for all of us who value the Ewe language, no matter where we’re from. It’s for parents eager to pass on their heritage, language lovers, and anyone who enjoys the thrill of learning something new.
