Language & Mission
What is Ewe (Eʋegbe)?
Ewe is a language spoken mainly in Ghana, Togo, and Benin. It thrives at home but is harder to pass on in the diaspora. Eʋegbe is the name speakers themselves use for the language.
Why is authenticity so important to Deviwo?
Every word was carefully verified in Ghana with elders and Professor Agbele from Kpando. We don’t take shortcuts — accuracy matters for preserving culture.

A mother and her daughter. They represent how Ewe is spoken naturally at home — genuine voices, not AI.
Why is the product called Eʋegbe Lãwo?
In Eʋegbe, Eʋegbe Lãwo means “Ewe language animals.” It reflects our mission to pass language and culture to the next generation.
